Packing List

Hello Fellow Missionaries!!
Here is a packing list to help you figure out what things to bring and what NOT to bring... : )

PACKING LIST

Toiletries – better to bring your favorite stuff
Kleenex (carry on size)
Tennis or sandals / walking shoes
Cotton socks
Rubber sandals for shower
After bite stick/Topical Benadryl Ointment or other insect bite treatment (mosquitoes)
Insect Repellent with DEET
Beach towels
Aloe or Icy-Hot for sunburn treatment
Women swimwear: One-piece swim suit/trunks –
Women’s clothing: t-shirts, Capri pants, pants,
shirts, blouses/T-shirts-short sleeve skirts: slightly below knee length, sun dresses
PLEASE do not wear: low neck /revealing tank tops, halter tops or cropped tops or shorts except to the beach *
PLEASE do not wear two-piece swimwear
Men and women: cotton underwear-too hot/humid for synthetics
Towels/hand/wash cloth
Bed linens
Bible
Address Book
Journal
Back pack items
Small Bible/pens/flash light/camera and plenty of film and batteries (too expensive to buy locally, and batteries do no last beyond a half hour), umbrella -rain coat not recommended – too hot), favorite prepackaged snacks –snack size– may not find them there or too expensive
Fanny pack- (If carrying more than $20.00 to buy souvenirs)
Sleeping Bag (optional)
Sunshades
Sun Screen – plenty of it
Baseball hats/ sun visors or hats/straw hats
Medicines: Pepto-Bismol Motion sickness pills, Tylenol
Prescription meds (provide leader a one week supply of your prescription meds, in the event yours get lost/damaged, etc.
Spare prescription glasses
Reading material
Drink bottled drinks ONLY – even in nice restaurants
