I've been searching the internet. I can't find information on what type to healthcare Panama has. I know here in Canada we have a free healthcare system. But I can't seem to find anything about Panama.
Hi Katie, Panama does not really have a health care type...Many people who work use what they call Seguro Social health care which is owned by a private conglomerate, and people pay from their wages, much like private insurance here. Except this is the major "insurance" that the government requires every employer to carry for their employees, and I believe it also uses subsidy from the government. It is a barebone coverage. I could say more in private..... and why we need medical missions.
